This styled wedding shoot hosted at Dover Hall and planned by Heather Benge leaned into Old World European style, incorporating gold accents and a muted yet colorful palette. Intrigue Designs and The Flower Guy Bron co-hosted the floral design, incorporating roses, tulips, and other textured styles to create the veritable sea of flowers that took over the event space. Captured by Joshua Bingham Photography, it’s impossible not to want to bring just a little bit of that antique edge to your upcoming wedding after seeing the details executed for this event.

Antique-inspired invitation suite
Old World details began right off the bat with delicate gold bow accents and custom wax seals used to close the invitation suite. That same gold and blue palette would later appear throughout the reception design.

Bridal style inspiration: European royalty
The bride leaned into the idea of European royalty, wearing a satin ballgown with buttons down the back and carrying an off-white bouquet that blended luxury blooms with textured wildcards.

Floral design: Luxury blooms & textured wildcards
For the ceremony, the florists created clouds of color using pink and yellow roses, periwinkle accents, and plenty of textured white and green blooms. The result: the prettiest meadow-inspired vibe we’ve ever seen.

Detail we love: pale blue as a neutral
The designers used pale blue as a neutral backdrop for colorful blooms and delicate gold accents to stand out against. Especially with the perfect weather this day, the blue blended right into the gorgeous blue sky. Customized floral menus appeared to be elegantly hand drawn and included each guest’s name in calligraphy on the front.

The ultimate antique wedding cake
We couldn’t zoom in far enough to obsess over the incredible detail that Artsy Cakesy put on this multi-tier cake. Sugared flowers and hand painted gold and floral accents went beyond edible creation to work of art.
