An Amalfi Coast Wedding That Felt More Like An Intimate Vacation

Share

amy-zach-3524

Amy and Zach met on St. Patrick’s Day in 2022 at an Irish pub in Uptown Charlotte, and that lucky beginning became a sweet symbol in their story—even earning a four-leaf clover emoji next to each other’s names. Their relationship has grown through shared adventures, especially travel and discovering new restaurants, which naturally shaped the vision for their wedding. When Amy and Zach planned their wedding, they knew they didn’t want just a day—they wanted an experience. Travel has always been central to their relationship, and the Amalfi Coast was the perfect expression of their love for adventure, beauty, and incredible food. Italy also held special meaning as the first place they traveled together, making it the ideal place to begin their next chapter.

Featured venue: Hotel Santa Caterina

Set at the iconic Hotel Santa Caterina, the celebration planned with the help of Lights Event Co. and captured by Georgia and Micah felt like an intimate Italian getaway shared with their closest friends and family. Long meals, Italian wine, live music, and the Mediterranean backdrop created a weekend of connection and joy rather than a single event.

How to break tradition in the best way

Breaking tradition made the day feel entirely theirs, from staying together the night before to enjoying a private first look that allowed them to be fully present for the ceremony and cocktail hour.

Galia Lahav: the new classic

For the wedding day, Amy wore a stunning Galia Lahav gown, and Zach chose a classic tux, perfectly balancing elegance and relaxed European style.

Color palette: soft white & blush

Design-wise, Amy and Zach let the Amalfi Coast shine. Soft white and blush florals by Amalfi Coast Florist accentuated the cliffside venue without competing with it, creating a timeless, romantic aesthetic.
