Kennedy and Daniel’s modern love story began on a dating app and culminated in a romantic spring celebration filled with dusty blue hues, stunning florals, and unforgettable culinary experiences. After meeting each other online, their relationship deepened significantly during the pandemic when, despite life being largely on pause, they found freedom exploring the outdoors together with hiking, kayaking, and embarking on spontaneous adventures. Their relationship had an extra connection from the start as Daniel’s cousin was actually Kennedy’s teammate on the cheer squad, and Daniel would often show up to cheer Kennedy on at her games. In February of 2023, Daniel proposed on the same day that Kennedy learned she had been admitted to law school. Kennedy and Daniel ultimately exchanged vows at The Grandeur House in Arkansas, with the help of planner Bethany Holloway Williams of TBK Visions and photographer Black House Studios, when spring was turning into summer and everything outside was as vibrant and lush as Kennedy had dreamed of for their wedding day.

Wedding day inspo: Bridgerton romance
Kennedy’s vision for the wedding day was inspired by the romantic world of Bridgerton, featuring the show’s signature dusty blue color palette and elegant simplicity. “I wanted the day to feel refined without being overdone—beautiful in its simplicity, with a quiet kind of magic woven into every detail,” Kennedy shared.

Featured venue: The Grandeur House
The Grandeur House provided the perfect backdrop, requiring minimal decorations. The couple kept the décor fresh and simple, using greenery and soft hints of dusty blue throughout to tie everything together. Their wedding team included wedding planner Bethany Holloway Williams of TBK Visions, who also handled the florals. Black House Studios captured both photos and video of the special day, while Watercolor by Korry Jones created a live painting of the celebration.

Center stage florals: hydrangeas!
Hydrangeas took center stage in Kennedy’s floral vision. “With my cheer background, they’ve always reminded me of fluffy flower pom-poms, and they just bring me so much joy,” Kennedy explained.

Textured yet elegant decor options
Working with her wedding coordinator Bethany, they created a timeless look with hydrangeas, classic roses, baby’s breath, and fresh greenery. The combination brought the perfect amount of texture and elegance, reflecting the simple, airy vibe Kennedy envisioned.

Creating a culinary experience
The culinary experience, catered by Vibrant Occasions, was a highlight of the celebration. During cocktail hour, guests enjoyed honey chipotle BBQ chicken picks, cheese-stuffed mushrooms, and Mediterranean chicken egg rolls that had everyone raving. For the main reception, the couple opted for a self-serve buffet featuring Caribbean citrus chicken and bacon-wrapped tenderloin as the star proteins. These were complemented perfectly by a baked potato casserole, fresh salad, and a vibrant spring vegetable mix that brought the season\’s freshness to the table. “Vibrant Occasions truly knocked it out of the park,” Kennedy raved. “So many of our guests went out of their way to compliment the food, which meant the world to me. We wanted everyone who came to celebrate with us to eat well, and thanks to Vibrant Occasions, they absolutely did.”

Cake design: simplicity meets elegance
For their cake, Kennedy embraced simplicity with elegance. She and Daniel each had their own cake (hers vanilla and his chocolate) from Harps, beautifully elevated with simple decorative touches like baby’s breath and fresh strawberries. Guests enjoyed cupcake versions of both flavors. “I’ve always loved keeping things simple,” Kennedy explained. “A little baby’s breath goes a long way in making even the simplest cake feel elegant.”

Cheerleading wedding tradition
In a nod to Kennedy’s cheerleading background, her bridesmaids and some guests put her up in a cheer stunt during the reception—a unique and fun tradition in the cheerleading world!

Rolling with the punches
The day wasn’t without its funny moments. Kennedy’s makeup ran late, causing her to miss the pajama photo shoot with her bridesmaids. “They went ahead without me, and honestly, the photos turned out gorgeous—and hilarious. In the photos, it looks like my man of honor is the one getting married!” she laughed about later. Another memorable moment came during their send-off. The newlyweds drove off in Kennedy’s papa’s open-roof car, feeling the just-married magic… except they didn’t realize they were supposed to circle back to collect their belongings. Luckily, they had amazing family and friends who collected all of their things for them!

After-the-fact advice from the bride
“Splurge on what matters most to you and save where you can.” For Kennedy and Daniel, that meant prioritizing an amazing photographer and videographer, a beautiful venue, and great food. When it came to their wedding cake, Kennedy found a budget-friendly alternative. “Wedding cakes are so expensive. My cake came from Harps, and our wedding coordinator added a touch of baby’s breath and just like that, it became an elegant wedding cake.”
