the vision: chinoiserie at the vineyard
Anna and Andrew fell in love with the sprawling views of Veritas Vineyard and lush greenery, and reserved it for their wedding day. From the bridesmaids' dresses and the chinoiserie vases at the sweetheart table to the floral centerpieces by Foxtail Cottage Floral, beautiful blues were abundant throughout the wedding design.
the invitations
getting ready
In a long blue and white lace-trimmed robe, Anna lounged with her ladies before getting ready for the big day. From the coordinating pajamas to the fuzzy slippers, the ladies were all twinning–and check those pedis! Now, that's attention to detail! Andrew fastened his custom monogrammed cufflinks before heading down to the wine cellar for a quick toast with his groomsmen.
the fashion
We can't imagine a more perfect dress choice for this adorably preppy wedding! Anna looked elegant and timeless in a strapless, draped A-line ball gown by Amsale, but the major wow factor came when she walked down the aisle and revealed the big bow in the back–obsessed! When your colors are blue and white, you know you need to rock blue shoes as your "something blue," and Anna opted for classic satin pumps with pearl brooches in a pastel shade. The bridesmaids also donned the color palette for the day in mix-and-match blue printed dresses. The groom and his men sported classic black tuxedos and black bow ties.
The bride then, changed into a second dress with the cutest blue bow in the back for dancing and their sparkler send-off!
diy master class
Anna worked very closely with her mother, Louisa, to plan and design their wedding day. Her mom DIYed many elements of the day, including many of the details, such as the monogram, invitations, seating display, place cards with guest names, and baked the cookies that served as favors. As a thank you to her mom, Anna did a first look with both her mom and her dad and chose to give her bouquet to her mom instead of tossing it to a single lady.
a non-traditional guest book
For their guest book, they chose wine bottles from the vineyard and had guests sign them, and they will open one on each wedding anniversary.
This has to be one of the best non-traditional guest book ideas we've seen to date! Vineyard wedding couples–take notes.
the cake
In addition to a simple strawberry and whipped cream cake, guests enjoyed a dessert table full of sweet confections, including the cookies baked by the bride's mom.
