Wind down with our new favorite and fabulous couple, Chelsea and Eric, at their DC District Winery wedding! These two cuties have worked hard on their relationship between living in separate cities and even at times separate countries, so it was about time for them to pop the champagne and party.

Keep scrolling to hear about Chelsea and Eric’s sweet love story and to see some of our favorite moments from their big day. Then be sure to head on over to our full gallery to see all of the photos captured by Emily Blumberg.

Their Love story

It’s not uncommon to hear someone begin their love story with “It all began with a swipe to the right” or “We matched online after 20 somewhat dates.”

As for Eric and I, this story begins with an old favorite social media site. Sure, we met in high school, spent two awkward years not knowing how much the other liked them; seeing a movie here and there or a birthday party appearance. Fast forward three colleges, two degrees, twelve countries, and six apartments later we were reconnected by a casual message on Facebook (thank you, Eric). Oh no, don’t go thinking this is where the story ends. A few dates later and a move to Guam for Eric, all hope for a relationship with me was put on hold.

With a little time and patience, a relationship was finally formed between us almost 8,000 miles apart ( and that’s direct mileage…let’s not take into account the flight miles). So now we’re at the 18 IAD-GUM flights for me, two Jackson Hole trips, a romantic winter wonderland proposal, four cats, two years and a BIG move to Virginia for Eric later leading us to this point right now. A beautiful, intimate November wedding of 50 at D.C.’s District Winery.
