Two ceremonies meant two days to party at this Mexican resort wedding

moody wedding flower design

Becky and Zac held their 2023 wedding at Finest Playa Mujeres in Playa Mujeres, Mexico with 90 of their closest friends and family. They ultimately chose this destination wedding because the groom, Zac, is Nigerian and many of his family members would be flying in from Africa. The couple didn't think one day of celebrating was enough and wanted a whole weekend full of festivities for their family and friends from all around the world!

Double the ceremonies meant double the chances to throw a party!

The bride and groom opted for a traditional Nigerian ceremony on Friday and a traditional Western ceremony on Saturday. Zac's aunt handmade all of their Nigerian outfits based on his family's tribe. Having two ceremonies also gave the couple double the time to share their love with everyone, double the dancing, and double the fun! Knowing that everyone travelled from afar, the bride and groom spent a lot of time on the wedding details, including the personalized place cards that included brief descriptions of what that guest means to them. The highlight of the weekend, however, was when the groom surprised everyone at the reception with an epic surprise rap performance! Ultimately, Zac and Becky loved having a destination wedding because everyone was able to mingle and bond over the course of the whole weekend.
