A modern quiet luxury bridal editorial inspired by old-world romance

Share

Bathed in the glow of candlelight and framed by historic architecture, this moonlight-inspired bridal editorial at The Colorado Springs School reimagines old-world romance through a distinctly modern lens. Set inside a beautifully preserved historic schoolhouse in Colorado Springs, every space evokes the quiet grandeur of a European manor, where timeless craftsmanship, sculptural fashion, and refined styling come together to tell a story of enduring elegance.

Photographed by Angelli Nguyen and designed around the latest collection from bridal designer Guillermo Pharis, the editorial celebrates sophisticated bridal fashion, intentional design, and the belief that true luxury never follows trends – it transcends them.

Bespoke invitation suite

Bespoke stationery by She Lettering and elegant calligraphy completed the editorial story, introducing every detail with quiet sophistication.

The paper goods reflected the same thoughtful craftsmanship found throughout the collection, reinforcing the cohesive design language from beginning to end while adding a deeply personal layer to the celebration.

Soft, polished beauty inspiration

Soft, polished hair and makeup by Stephanie Fugazzi and Mayra Fuentes complemented the romantic atmosphere without competing with it.

The beauty direction emphasized luminous skin, effortless styling, and timeless elegance, allowing each bridal look to feel refined, natural, and enduring.

Featured designer: Guillermo Pharis

The Guillermo Pharis collection served as the foundation for the editorial, juxtaposing softness with structure in a way that felt effortlessly sophisticated.

Crisp ivory Italian satin ball gowns swept across historic parquet floors, while sculptural corsetry, fluid draping, sweeping trains, and delicate lace appliqué highlighted the artistry of couture craftsmanship. Ethereal veils floated through candlelit rooms, creating movement that echoed the editorial’s moonlit inspiration.

Each look felt simultaneously contemporary and timeless, honoring classic European dressmaking while embracing modern bridal elegance.

Tailored groom’s style

Tailored menswear provided a striking counterpoint to the softness of the bridal collection.

Clean lines, impeccable tailoring, and classic black formalwear grounded the editorial, allowing the contrast between masculine structure and romantic femininity to unfold naturally throughout every frame.

Historic ceremony design

Gilded architectural details, soaring ceilings, candlelight, and centuries-old craftsmanship created an atmosphere where romance felt both intimate and cinematic.

Every room invited quiet moments, allowing the couple’s connection to become the focal point against a backdrop rich with history and character.

Detail we love: draped linen tablescapes

The reception design continued the editorial’s refined aesthetic through an intentionally restrained palette of ivory, pearl, black, and soft gold.

An elegantly styled tablescape draped in flowing ivory linens featured romantic white florals by Ladybird Lusk, layered candlelight, and thoughtful place settings that reflected the understated sophistication of the surrounding architecture.

Every design choice celebrated texture, proportion, and craftsmanship rather than excess, resulting in a setting that felt luxurious without overwhelming the space.

On trend: sculptural wedding cake

The handcrafted wedding cake by Alyce in Flourland became a sculptural work of art in its own right.

Intricate lace-inspired detailing echoed the couture bridal gowns, while graceful swans perched atop the cake introduced a timeless symbol of devotion and romance. Together, the design balanced classic artistry with contemporary refinement.

A love letter to timeless elegance

More than a bridal editorial, this collection is a celebration of craftsmanship, artistry, and the lasting beauty of thoughtful design.
