This may come as a surprise, but minimalism doesn’t always have to be black and white. This couple embraced a less-is-more feel for their wedding with simple florals and Pop Art-inspired signage, but they went all in on color and texture. So, if you like clean lines but live for a pop of color, keep scrolling to see more of these stunning photos by Lucy Struve Photography, because this one’s for you.

Their Love Story

Brooke’s and Conner’s story began at work, where their shared love of sports laid the groundwork for something deeper. What started as a casual connection quickly became a seamless partnership. Two years later, Conner proposed in the library at Hotel Emma, a peaceful, intimate space that perfectly matched the moment. A quiet staycation celebration, and the countdown to their vibrant spring wedding was officially underway.

The Vision: Bright & Joyful

Set at The Arlo and planned by Bianca Nichole and Co, their celebration was filled with bright, joyful energy and thoughtful touches that honored their journey. Pops of pink (Brooke’s favorite color), foam fingers as a nod to their sports roots, and a signature Dirty Shirley all added playful charm. With outfit changes, custom cocktails, and a day designed down to the size of the margarita straws, Brooke and Conner created a wedding experience that was intentional and unforgettable—just like the love it celebrated.

The Invitations

Guests were surprised to find a bright red envelope in their mailbox. Each opened to reveal a colorful wedding invitation suite that showcased the playful color palette. They also incorporated a Western-inspired motif, like boots and a die-cut hat card.

Getting Ready

Accompanied by her mom, Brooke prepared for the big day. As she was getting ready, she received a few sentimental gifts that represented her “Something Old”, “Something New”, and “Something Blue” that she could carry with her for good luck. Her grandmother also gifted her a strand of pearls for the special occasion.

The Fashion

Brooke selected a generously cut A-line gown with a strapless scoop neckline and unique floral brocade fabric. She wore Gucci clustered diamond studs and swept her beautiful brown hair back into a chic updo. Her ladies were stunning as well, each wearing a different color from the palette of the day. Conner and his groomsmen looked equally dapper in classic black tuxedos.

The Bouquet

Personal details were woven into every corner, from Brooke’s bouquet, by Stems and Whim Hospitality, made with fabric from her childhood dresses to reception gifts crafted from the hem of her gown.

A Wish You Were Here Table

A “Wish You Were Here” table honored absent loved ones, while a postcard wall featuring 200+ cities celebrated the places their careers had taken them.

Trending: Bridal Mini

These days, a second look for brides is a no-brainer! Brooke rocked an adorable beaded mini by Clio Peppiatt for hers. We recommend making your grand entrance and first dance in your wedding dress, then slipping out to change just before you cut the cake and the dancing really gets started.

The Cake

They kept things simple for dessert, ditching the tiered design and opting for a Lambeth-style cake that said, “Just Married.” We’re noticing a lot of couples going this route and investing in other desserts that complement their dinner, rather than one big cake.

Late-Night Festivities

To keep the party going, the couple surprised guests with HBCBs. What is that, you may ask? IYKYK. JK, we don’t gatekeep around here. It’s the ultimate midnight snack: Honey Butter Chicken Biscuits from Whataburger.
