Wedding Dress Designers to Look Out for in 2019

Limor Rosen Wedding Chicks Pick:

We caught up with the ladies of Kinsley James on the hottest wedding dress designers to watch in 2019. Sisters-in-law Dawn Silva Rigney and Amber Silva both well-versed in wedding coordination, saw a need for a couture bridal salon in the East Bay Area having recently both been brides themselves. After experiencing limited options available to them during their hunt for the perfect wedding dress, they knew what it was like to travel far and wide just to try on coveted fashion designer dresses.

Kinsley James seized the opportunity to bring couture and style needs to the brides of the East Bay. By staying up to date with the latest in New York Bridal Fashion Week and having personal working relationships with designers, Kinsley James is able to provide customizable options, unique designers and designs always hand-selected for the bride in mind. They’re here to help with not just finding the ideal wedding dress, but are available for information on vendors, venues and etiquette.

Galia Lahav

galialahav

Our top selling Israeli designer is Galia Lahav. We initially started carrying Galia Lahav a couple months after we opened in 2013, when brides kept requesting and bringing in pictures of her gowns. Soon after we reached out we became one of the first five stores to sell her gowns in the United States. They had selected Kinsley James to be their exclusive Northern California retailer because of our young, fresh vibe as a store. Galia Lahav gowns are known for their elaborate beading and lace, form-fitting silhouettes, and sexy, glam look!

Liz Martinez

Another top Israeli designer is Liz Martinez. We started carrying her gowns near the end of 2014 because of the beautiful lace and beading she incorporates, which was new and trendy at the time and brought a romantic feel to the gown. What we love about Liz Martinez' designs is that she brings a bohemian and relaxed style to her gowns. With sweeping tulle and an ethereal feel, her dresses are perfect for a bride that is chic, but also a little more relaxed.

Angel Rivera

Angel Rivera

Angel Rivera creates his gowns with his brides in mind. In late 2013 we discovered Angel Rivera- who is originally from New Jersey- due to his special glam aesthetic that so many brides were searching for. At the time he was an up and coming designer who has since taken off in the bridal world - people cannot get enough of him! Angel Rivera puts a unique spin on his styles and designs that adds a little flare to each dress - making every dress unique.

Anne Barge

anne-barge

Anne Barge is our most timeless and classic designer. She creates top of the line gowns, keeping the finest materials and overall build of the gown in mind. Kinsley James took her on sometime in 2014, making Anne Barge one of the most established bridal designers that Kinsley James carries! Her gowns are made to perfection every single time - from a ball gown, fit & flare, or a timeless a-line dress- Anne Barge designs resonate with so many of our brides.

Marchesa

marchesa

Marchesa is our most high fashion designer at Kinsley James, with their designs often worn by celebrities or seen on the red carpet. We started carrying Marchesa when we first opened our Los Angeles store in 2017. With very unique silhouettes and nontraditional materials, Marchesa is next-level chic. Lee Petra Grebenau One of our newest designer that we carry in our West Hollywood location is Lee Petra Grebenau, known for her classic and sexy styles with layering laces and unique silhouettes. She is an up and coming Israeli designer that we thought would perfectly compliment our Los Angeles collections. Since we don't carry Galia Lahav in Los Angeles, we wanted to bring in something with a similar sexy and form fitting style.

Rivini

Rita Vinieris is the designer behind Rivini and Kinsley James started carrying Rivini towards the end of 2014. Rivini was such a unique commodity at the time because of her edgy designs - for instance she originally incorporated chains and metal into her gowns! After steering in a little more traditional direction, Rivini seems to be going back to her roots this upcoming season by adding jewelry accents such as chokers and harnesses to her unique gowns.

Liancarlo

liancarlo

Liancarlo gowns are known for their lightweight materials and intricate embroidery, perfect for summer weddings. It wasn't until 2013 that Kinsley James saw a need for this style of dress and discovered Liancarlo's gorgeous wedding gowns. The designer, Carlos Ramirez, is an established designer who's been making evening gowns for over 30 years. He is also a painter, which has inspired many of his embroidery designs for his gowns
