This private estate venue was the perfect blend of modern and vintage

private estate wedding reception

The team at Venues & Estates helps to create each couple's dream wedding vision, and in September of 2022, they helped Caroline and Josh put on a wedding that was ten years in the making! The venue provided the perfect juxtaposition of privacy and ethereal nature with the cicadas at dusk, the giddy exchange of “I do’s,” and the band playing under the stars.

Cobblestone Manor provided an old-fashioned estate vibe to match their classic wedding style

Caroline and Josh's classic taste and sentimental energy was a perfect match for Cobblestone Manor: an old-fashioned estate tucked into the scenic hillsides of the San Fernando Valley. The couple said "I do" in the gardens just outside the original manor built in the early 1920s, surrounded by cypress trees and tall hedges. Their aisle was a stunning cloud of baby’s breath and orchids.

Dial-up phones and a jazz quartet created an elevated vintage feel with a modern twist

The couple’s design inspiration focused on sleek, timeless color palettes and textures, elevating the experience of a modern wedding by incorporating a vintage feel. They even had a dial-up phone for their guests to leave the couple recorded voicemails throughout the day! And during cocktail hour, a quartet played jazz by the pool in the “backyard” area of the manor.

The reception glowed thanks to dripping string lights wrapped from branch to branch

The reception was electric. Caroline wore an elegant, vintage slip dress given to her by her close friend. Kicking things off with their first dance, Caroline and Josh's absolutely classic playlist (performed by Lucky Devils) consisted of Motown, rock, and, of course, Neil Diamond’s “Sweet Caroline" to sing along to. String lights were wrapped from tree branch to tree branch, casting a gorgeous glow over the dance floor. The entire event was the definition of the idea that classic will never go out of style.
