A Rustic Luxury Wedding at Hearst Ranch on the Coast of California

Elena and Jack's Memorial Day weekend wedding took place in the hills of the Central Coast on the groom's family property, Hearst Ranch. The high school sweethearts kicked off their wedding weekend with a coastal welcome party for all of their guests, which - of course - included a raw bar! Field to Table catered the whole weekend, while Sidecar Cocktail Company created a delicious bar menu.

The couple's dog stole the show by being carried down the aisle in her own veil!

The ceremony on the hillside of Hearst Castle's pergola is a favorite spot for the couple, overlooking the Pacific Ocean. The bride walked down the aisle to "Day Dreaming" by Aretha Franklin, played by twin violinists Daniel and Cal Morris Music. The couple had a close friend officiate the wedding as they exchanged their own written vows under a dreamy driftwood arch covered in white blooms that matched the bride's classic dress. Elena and Jack's Shih Tzu named Sammy, however, was the star of the weekend, even being carried down the aisle with a veil!

Local flowers and a classic color palette helped transform the reception into a starlight forest

Flowers were one of the most important touches for the weekend. Adornments Flowers used local blooms in classic white for the ceremony, and then drew from a sunset-inspired palette for the rest of the events. After the hillside ceremony, guests were taken down the hill to enjoy a ranch-side cocktail hour before the dairy barn opened to reveal a reception space transformed into a starlight forest. Guests danced the night away to Dart Collective's Moonshiners Band, that then broke into a late-night DJ.
