Lighter thematic colors shone in the "golden hour" setting

“Sara and Connor’s Sunset Lodge Vineyard wedding was nothing short of incredible. This was my last wedding of the season and boy was it the perfect way to end the year! The vineyard and the last light of sunset were the backdrops for their ceremony spot and even with some serious chill in the air, it was the most heartwarming thing to stand and witness,” says Corrie Childers ,the couple’s photographer.

Music played an important role in making guests comfortable throughout the entire event

This couple wanted to create an exceptional guest experience with a lovely feast and live music. Their ceremony musician and guitarist, Victoria Wells , warmed guests up before they entered the reception for dinner and danced the night away with the band, Memphis Soul Revue . This Memphis-based band often travels the country to festivals, fairs, private events and, of course, weddings, donning dazzling costumes and dynamic vocals.

The food at a wedding should be memorable, and this menu was exceptional

“The food was great! The appetizers were amazing, especially the stuffed mushrooms. And the entrees had something for everyone,” said the bride, Sara. Their catering company, Vibrant Occasions Catering , served passed hors d'oeuvres during cocktail hour in the form of caprese pipettes, Cajun shrimp shooters, cheese-stuffed mushrooms, mini New England crab cakes, and spinach artichoke crostinis.

For dinner, everyone enjoyed paneed chicken breaded to perfection in a panko parmesan crust and draped with beurre blanc as one of their entree options. The second entree option, cabernet-braised brisket, consisted of prime black angus beef brisket braised until fork-tender. Vegetarians were served creamy basil pesto garden pasta tossed with garden fresh vegetables, including balsamic roasted tomatoes, fresh spinach, mushrooms, artichoke hearts, asparagus, and sauteed red onion with a breadbasket on the side.

All of this was accompanied by harvest vegetables, cheesy grits, yukon gold twice-baked potato casserole, garlicky green beans and a dinner salad. The evening’s meal ended with a wedding cake by Mickey’s Cakes and Sweets for dessert.

The couple incorporated meaningful elements honoring their faith throughout the entire day

Photographer Corrie Childers explains this beautiful day in a nutshell: “The whole day was beautiful and meaningful and fun, from listening to their Rabbi read the Hebrew written on their Ketubah all the way to the best kind of uplifting chaos during their Hava Nagila dance! It’s the greatest thing in the world to see families come together to support and love on their own, embrace traditions, and make memories together. I laughed so much at this wedding!"

The bride changed into a dancing dress for her vintage car exit

Photographer Corrie continued, "Sara looked stunning, of course, and the cherry on top was the cream satin dancing dress that she changed into before their formal exit — she absolutely looked like a 1950’s Hollywood starlet climbing into her motorcar after a red-carpet event!”
