Making the most of their venue

The ceremony and reception were both on the front lawn of the property. The bride and groom read their vows on the front porch of the building, and then the band performed on that same porch for the reception. They even used the front brick walkway as the dance floor after dinner! This was a perfect location for out-of-town guests who chose to stay Downtown, as it was walking distance from several hotels surrounding the popular river market area. museum set up for ceremony with white folding chairs Flower girls with daisy sunglasses Bridesmaid and groomsman dancing down ceremony aisle Groom waiting for bride at end of aisle Groom putting ring on bride's finger during ceremony Bride and groom walking down aisle holding hands after ceremony

Eats and treats

For appetizers, guests were served spinach artichoke crostini and Jamaican jerk chicken picks. The main dinner included three different types of tacos: shredded brisket, Cajun shrimp, and grilled Portobello. The tacos were served with Mexican street corn, spicy beans, cheese dip, and salsa. And instead of a cake, the bride and groom served an ice cream sundae action station with loads of topping to choose from to help combat the Arkansas heat! Guests could really kick off their shoes and enjoy this sweet treat, letting their inner child have some fun. Creating their vibe

Between the open air layout, live music by Daniel Olah & Co., and ice cream sundaes to die for, the wedding had an almost festival-like ambiance. The bright colors chosen for the bouquets added a fancifulness reflected in the couple's fun personalities. The silhouette of Jennifer's Grecian-inspired gown again the beautiful architecture of the Old State House Museum lent a romantic backdrop and overall feeling of formality. Guests danced the night away, ending the evening with a rainbow silly string send-off in perfect harmony with the rest of what the couple described as, "Their best day ever!" The bride's budget-saving advice

"You can simplify! Pick and choose what is most important to you. I made all of my bridesmaid's bouquets with faux flowers. I opted for simple decor that I got on sale after Christmas, and I decided not to have a wedding cake or wedding programs. And ask for help! Follow vendors' social media accounts for ideas and tips." Reflections from the vendors

Photographer Josh Nguyen of Nguyen Images said: "Charlie and Jennifer's wedding was every Arkansas photographer's dream. It was the downtown vibes at the Old State House Museum, the bridal party that was their hype team from the start, and the vendors that did an amazing job throughout the entire day. But above all, it was the natural way that Charlie and Jennifer showed their emotion, their affection for each other, and they joy together. It was truly a privilege to witness it and to capture that beautiful June day in Little Rock."Planner Rylee Behrman with Chasing Butterflies Weddings & Events said: "Jennifer and Charlie's wedding was perfectly 'them.' It was elegant, joyful, and thoughtful, and there was no shortage of fun and laughter. There are two sides within a marriage - your spouse is someone you tackle life's biggest challenges wife, but also is who you laugh with until you cry. That contrast was very clearly captured in this day and is so very evident in their relationship."
