Elegant Pacific NW wedding celebrating the couple’s love of climbing
As a snowstorm loomed over the city they were living in, Kelly and Casey met for their first date. Despite the weather forecast, they shared a night of bar-hopping that stretched nearly nine hours. They got engaged during the summer of 2023, with Casey meticulously planning an unforgettable proposal atop Mount Whitney via a rock-climbing route with a climbing guide and a coordinated meet-up with Kelly’s parents to celebrate once they were off the mountain. Kelly and Casey’s Pacific Northwest wedding reflected their deep connection to the mountains. Captured by Lloyd Photo & Films and planned with the help of Jubilee Weddings and Events, Kelly described their wedding at Crystal Mountain Resort as “mountain elegance,” designed to immerse guests in nature while incorporating formal, upscale touches.
Mountain-inspired wedding rings
Kelly and Casey's wedding rings held a piece of their journey - crafted by an artisanal jeweler, each band was engraved with Mount Whitney, a tribute to their proposal and the many adventures still ahead.
Bridal style: floral applique
Kelly wore a stunning off-the-shoulder fitted dress with floral applique from Samila Bridal & Formal. In order to lean into the concept of mountain elegance, she accessorized her look with a thin rhinestone headband and simple jewelry.
On trend: sage green chiffon
The bridesmaids wore muted sage-green chiffon dresses with custom selected tops to add variety and personal style.
Muted mountaintop groomsmen
Casey wore a standout blue suit with a colorful boutonniere that complemented the floral design of their event. With blue ties to match Casey's suit, the groomsmen instead donned classic grey suits with brown leather dress shoes.
Private first look in a gondola
Riding the gondola up Crystal Mountain Resort, the couple shared a private first look at the summit, finding a quiet moment of calm before the day’s celebrations.

Wildflower meadow floral design
At the altar, the bride and groom were surrounded by a wildflower meadow, an idea Kelly had requested from their florist. Flora D’ Amore created bright, dynamic floral arrangements that felt natural yet striking. As a string quartet played at cloud level, the ceremony unfolded against a breathtaking panorama of mountaintops.
Perfect Adirondack portraits
The newlyweds made sure to take a moment to themselves (and some epic portraits!) in a perfect pair of Adirondack chairs overlooking the mountain views.
Mountain-themed reception signage
The mountain theme carried through to the details, including signage by The Jubilee Shoppe designed in the style of Washington State’s National Park signs and reception tables named after peaks the newlyweds had climbed together.
Mountaintop menus and dried flower details
Table-settings included nods to nature throughout every detail with delicate dried wildflower place cards and watercolor mountain menus. It was a truly elegant yet whimsical way to tie their love of the mountains throughout each and every moment.
