When two Divemasters decide to tie the knot, what better backdrop could there be than the deep blue sea? For them, choosing the beach in Cozumel was a no-brainer. For the wedding design, they opted for something elegant that played into the airy tropical vibes. The color palette was limited to whites and greens to let Mother Nature truly shine. With a custom lace ballgown, a white tux, and a perfect blue backdrop, this waterfront ceremony is #goals!

This wedding was one of the many celebrations postponed by COVID. However, even with COVID changing the plans of Amyne and Julio, they never felt anxious or stressed. Amyne is the kind of woman that knows what she wants. She is beautiful from inside to outside, funny, and she has a bright light! She always knew that her big day would come as she dreamed, at the place where she dreamed of, and with the man of her dreams. On the other hand, Julio is a little more serious, but when he sees her, a gentleman appears and you will find the nicest guy in him! They chose Cozumel because they are both divemasters, so they felt a connection with the venue right away when they saw that it had a great view of the ocean where they used to go diving!
My husband is a Civil Engineer, he always finds a practical solution for everyday and not so everyday things in life. He is always making me laugh and is a constant motivation, support, and inspiration for me. I am a marketer, grateful for life, creative, and happy. We are both a couple who enjoy traveling and enjoying the moment. From the moment we met, we were united indescribably! Julio would say, "I had already seen those beautiful eyes when I met you".
Our wedding took place in the beautiful Cozumel, Quintana Roo, Mexico. It has been such an important place for us for its beautiful beaches and colors, for its beautiful, helpful, and friendly people, and for its incomparable maritime flora and fauna that, as lovers of the sea and divers, we see as unique and indescribable. In Cozumel, we have had the most wonderful experiences and adventures whenever we go. So, when we decided that it was time to get married, we did not doubt for a single moment that this was the right place to celebrate our union.
My wedding dress was designed by the Chihuahuan fashion designer, Georgina Chavez. It was a completely personalized wedding dress, and with her incredible talent and tailoring, I was able to enjoy the most beautiful and perfect dress for me! The bouquet consisted of English rose, mini roses, lisianthus, buttercups, tulips, and foliage. The essence of the design, along with the other characteristic colors of the wedding (gold and emerald green), focused on representing elegance, brightness, peace, unity, prosperity, and abundance that characterize us as a couple.
Without a doubt, the most memorable moment of the ceremony was walking towards my now husband with my father on my arm and with our families and close friends as witnesses and celebrators of that union. I also could never forget the beautiful words of the judge, the music, the setting, and the beautiful floral designs. I don't think I could choose just one part! Although, if I had to, it would be that first kiss that we gave each other as spouses and the joy that filled our hearts when we heard, "You may now kiss your wife." We were so thankful for the excellent organization and the tranquility that we were given thanks to the excellent work of the incredible team of Jane & Co Weddings & Events. Because of their direction and guidance, we enjoyed every moment, calm and happy, knowing that we were in excellent hands.
"Wow, the food is incredible!", was a recurring comment by all the attendees, from the canapés at the cocktail hour with its variety of sushi and Serrano ham with melon, to the dishes that we enjoyed at dinner the which were made up of an exquisite salad of tender spinach with lettuce and goat cheese, pear, and praline, a delicious fillet of grouper in a casserole with almond butter, vegetable stew, and capers. For dessert, there was soft cheese and white chocolate cake with raspberries and sugar petals.
