An Italian Dream Wedding

From the Bride: When traveling with my family to Italy in 2010, I was standing inside a church on the island of Capri and I thought to myself, I can't imagine anything more amazing than being married in Italy. At the time I wasn't even dating anyone!

Little did I know that in the fall of 2011, I would meet someone who loves food, wine and travel as much as I do. Then, the choice was obvious. It had to be Italy for Jason and I! My mother is also from an Italian family, so needless to say, they were on board with the idea!

Communication is Key

My best advice: Finding a trustworthy and dedicated wedding planner that you can openly communicate with is absolutely key! Communicating between St. Louis, Missouri and Florence, Italy in different time zones was no easy task! But, Cindy made it easy, was really flexible.

But Wait There's More!

Rewind to the day before this fabulous wedding and Jason and Lauren treated all of their guests to authentic Italian cooking lessons. Our mouths are already watering! After their fun in the kitchen the wedding party gathered on the candle lit patio to feast on their beautiful cuisine.

DIY Photo Runner

Our photo runner used down the middle of our long family-style table for the rehearsal dinner which featured old photos of many relatives on both sides of our families. I carried the photos with me and Cindy laced them together so that they cascaded down each side of the table onto the ground. It was such a neat way to honor all those who came before us and made us who we are together. It was special to know they were "there" even if not in person. Perfect for our family and food themed rehearsal!
