After having to postpone their original wedding due to back-to-back hurricanes, Ryan and Gabby finally tied the knot in a bright, whimsical celebration at the Powel Crosley Estate in Sarasota, Florida. The bride, who is originally from England, designed the day with help from Carefully Curated Events, incorporating a bold, tropical color palette and an eclectic English garden party vibe, accented with thrifted vases and candle holders as a nod to the couple’s upcycling business. Luckily for us, Brittany Sidwell Photography was there to capture each and every detail along the way – we promise you won’t want to miss a single moment!

Delicate floral invitations
The elegant attention to detail started from the invitation suite that incorporated an intentionally delicate floral design and mix and match fonts.

Bridal trend: Sheer puff sleeves
Gabby opted for natural glam thanks to Prevail Beauty with Abigail and Cora with Brides by Kelly Anne that complemented her dress with the perfect blend of classic and contemporary details. The sheer puff sleeves were a nod to on trend bridal style, while the lace corset-inspired top paired with a tulle skirt honored a more classic style.

Mix-and-match citrus bridesmaids
The bridesmaids donned mix-and-match dresses in florals, abstract designs, or solid colors.

Surprising pop of color: Yellow votives
For the ceremony, white chairs and pillars were the perfect neutral backdrop for floral arrangements by Galileo’s Flower Shop that featured plenty of pops of citrus yellow ranunculus. Low aisle arrangements helped create a continuous floral design while remaining subtle and elegant. For the contemporary detail amidst a classic color palette, guests were given a newspaper-inspired program celebrating the couple’s relationship.

On trend: a veil as portrait prop!
After the ceremony, while guests made their way to cocktail hour, Gabby and Ryan made time with Brittany Sidwell Photography to capture some intimate and emotional portraits.

Citrus-inspired centerpieces
For the reception, the same florals combinations used at the ceremony made a second appearance with pops of warm oranges and yellows. Citrus and other fruit acted as a whimsical accent to the florals, while vintage vases and small table lamps added a pretty touch of sparkle.

Unique favors: vintage glasses
Instead of opting to provide a single favor for their guests, the bride and groom instead decided to let their guests choose their own from a wall of stunning and colorful vintage glassware.

Pressed wildflower wedding cake
Ryan and Gabby cut into a white two-tier cake from Sweets Bakehouse with delicate pressed wildflowers throughout.
