From The Bride:
How did you meet?
We met on a coed Sports League team in San Francisco. Our coach and mutual friend put Chris and I both in right field to start the season opener Kickball game. So really it all started in the right left of that Kickball field in foggy San Francisco during a Sunday Recess season we will never forget. Thanks coach!
Did you have a romantic proposal?
Chris proposed on Christmas Eve which was very special for me because he knows I love the holiday season especially with our families. We were able to share our exciting engagement news with our closest family that Christmas Eve and Christmas Day which made me the happiest soon to be bride of all time. Best Christmas gift ever.
What was your inspiration for your wedding theme/colors?
I love jewel tones. And I love pastels. So mixing those two together was my inspiration for our wedding design and color pallet.
4. How was the planning process?
One of the most memorable and enjoyable experiences we’ve ever had was the planning of our wedding. We knew right away that our wedding planner, Bonnie Chase, was going to be the key to ultimately making our dream wedding come true. Her immediate love and passion for what she does is reflected in everything she does and we saw this within the first few minutes of our introduction meeting with her. When a wedding planner can practically finish a bride and grooms’ sentences, you know you have a keeper!!!
5. Do you have any special or memorable moments from your wedding day you’d like to share?
We will never forget our epic dance floor party the night of our wedding with the G.O.A.T., DJ Alex. We wanted to give our family and friends that traveled from afar the gift of dancing their fannies off the night of our wedding and I can honestly say we successfully made this happen thanks to DJ Alex. He killed it, and we are forever grateful for his genius talent. Take us back!
6. Budget breakdown?

From the Bride: We met at work at a design agency in Phoenix, Arizona, he was the creative director and was the one who interviewed me. One of the reasons he brought me in for an interview was because I went to Ohio State, we both grew up in Ohio and are huge Ohio State fans. After working together for a while he finally got the nerve up to ask me out.
He proposed in Del Mar, CA at the top of a Bluff Preserve at sunset. We were vacationing with his two children and he had already rehearsed the proposal with them so they knew where to go while he proposed to give us alone time and then come over afterward. He told me he wanted to stop there before dinner to watch the sunset and I didn't think anything of it. When we got to the top, there were a bunch of tourists standing in the area where he wanted to propose at so he quickly had to direct the kids into this random grassy area and propose where he had planned on the kids being. He did his proposal and I kept telling him to "Shut Up" because for months he had been joking that he was going to propose so I didn't believe him but I eventually said yes and then we went out for a nice dinner.
Our wedding colors were blush, grayish blue, and gold. Since we were getting married in Cabo I was inspired by the beach and also I love gold accents.
Planning was stressful, Bonnie, of Bliss Events, was amazing but I am the worst bride because picking out a lip color stressed me out. I kept having nightmares leading up to the wedding that we would get there and the invitations hadn't been sent out yet and no one showed up or nothing was done. Plus, because I am a designer I tried to do a lot of DIY items like my invitations, signs, party favors etc. But it all turned out better than I could have ever imagined so it was all worth it.
It's really hard to pick just one favorite moment, the entire event was so special. My favorite part was probably the dessert table that Bonnie put together, it was totally her vision and turned out amazing. My husband and I didn't want a big cake but my mom really wanted us to have one so we compromised on a small one. When we did the cake cutting it was around this beautiful dessert table and after we were done the kids did their own cake cutting and smashed the cake in each other's faces. The pictures from that are some of my favorite.
It was also a million degrees the day of our wedding and at the end of the night my husband stripped down to his underwear and jumped in the pool and then my sister pushed me in afterward, I'm pretty sure everyone will remember that.
