where to stay

Vdara Hotel and Casino

So you’ve decided to have a destination wedding in Vegas? Now, you’re going to need a place that accommodates your wedding party and your family. Possibly a few kiddos? Maybe your Grandparents? Don’t worry Vegas has you covered.

We’ve personally stayed at Vdara and it was spectacular. This particular hotel does not have a casino, but it is a short 5 minute walk to the ARIA Resort & Casino. Great option if you don’t want to deal with all the hustle and bustle of a casino. Bonus! Most of the suites come with a gourmet kitchen and a washer and dryer. The Shops at Crystal are just a hop, skip and jump away with all the luxury brands you love and features an impressive selection of restaurants.

plan in advance

Vegas Save The Date

Be sure to create an itinerary of the week's events. * Wedding Tip* Get in touch with your guests or post on your wedding website the wedding itinerary. Make it clear when your guests will have free time for Las Vegas activities and suggest they book them in advance before the trip.

activities for grandma and grandpa

Wynn Golf Course

Of course, Vegas is still the Entertainment Capital of the World. A resort city famed for its vibrant nightlife and centered around 24-hour activities. There’s also a little something for everyone, including your grandparents! Here are a few activities that Grandma and Grandpa might enjoy, we know that we would:

1. Take a tour of Hoover Dam

Discover the wonders of this historical structure and how it came to be.

2. See a Show

Acrobats, musicians, comedians, and more. There are so many shows to see it will be hard to decide.

3. Go Play Golf

There are more than 50 golf courses in the Las Vegas area. We guarantee that your favorite golfer will find one of the celebrity-designed courses to their likin.

vegas fun for the groom and his men

Vegas Speed Way

There are tons of activities for the Groom and His men these days in Las Vegas. Here are just a few of the many options:

1. Be a race car driver for a day

How much would your groom like to get behind the wheel of a Lamborghini, Ferrari or Porsche Race Car? At SPEEDVEGAS he can do this.

2. Get Frosty

The ice lounge, Minus5 at Mandalay Bay, is always a cool (minus 5 degrees Celsius or 23 degrees Fahrenheit), filled with sculptures made from 100% pure Canadian ice. Everything around you is pure crystal clear glacial ice, from the seats to the cocktail glasses. For private functions, they are able to make you a custom ice sculpture.

3. Explore The Desert

Go off-roading and explore the Mojave Desert. Perhaps take a Death Valley Tour, where you will experience many of the sights that make Death Valley so incredibly unique. Like - Dante’s Vie, which is located 5,000 feet above Death Valley. Star Wars fans will recognize the view as it was a filming location when Luke Skywalker and Obi Wan Kenobi overlook the Tatooine spaceport of Mos Eisley.

vegas fun for the kids

Mystère by Cirque du Soleil in Las Vegas

1. Discovery Children’s Museum

58,000 square feet of nine differently themed activities and exhibits that will appeal to all age groups.

2. Shark Reef

A full size aquarium that is designed with the idea of immersing you underwater while you are in the desert. There you will be able to experience 2,000 animals, including some of the most dangerous predators in the world. Including their newest attraction, an eight-foot-long Komodo dragon from Indonesia

3. Be Amazed

A great option would be  Mystère by Cirque du Soleil at Treasure Island. Featuring art, music and culture from around the world with plenty of aerial segments. Including a trampoline act that sends performers hurtling into the air in a series of spins and flips, flying trapeze, and an aerial high bar that puts acrobats 40 feet above the stage. The kids (and adults) will love it.

1. Spa Day

Gather your wedding party and spend the day at the Spa. Nearly every resort has a spa with something special. The AWAY Spa at SLS Las Vegas offers 10 treatment rooms (some have custom massage beds equipped with music therapy technology), a relaxation lounge, a couples’ massage suite, herbal steam rooms and oversized experience showers.

2. Go Shopping

People come far and wide to shop in Las Vegas. You must visit Fashion Show Las Vegas, The Forum Shops at Caesars, and The Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood. The Grand Canal Shoppes at The Venetian/The Palazzo might be our favorite. The Shoppes have a beautiful outdoor feel; you can even take a gondola ride through the plaza, and grab some gelato afterward. These are just a few of the many places you can find that perfect accessory to go along with your bridal look or stumble upon the perfect bikini for your honeymoon.

3. Hover over Las Vegas

Everyone needs to visit the Ghostbar at least once.  Located on the 55th floor of Palms Casino Resort, this super chill venue is the ideal place to relax and unwind with your #bridesquad before the big day. Not only can you enjoy a spectacular view of the strip, but there’s a transparent glass floor that looks straight down to the pool area hundreds of feet below. Definitely a thrill! Ghostbar is a great place to grab a drink.

have a welcome dinner

Not your average grilled cheese. Lemon pesto, cheese, heirloom tomatoes & Prosciutto di Parma

There are so many foodie adventures to be had in Vegas, so deciding on a place for your welcome dinner might be hard. If we had to choose a place that the whole family would enjoy it would be GIADA inside The Cromwell. So much deliciousness on the menu.

Tropicana Las Vegas Wedding Reception

After all the fun you and all of your guests have had, it’s time for the big day. There are so many fabulous places to choose from, it will be hard to pick.

Want a luxurious yet peaceful wedding setting? Red Rock Casino Resort and Spa would be an ideal venue for you. With multiple wedding settings both inside and outside, you will be able to make your wedding personalized and unique

Looking to have a wedding with a view, then The Platinum Hotel and Spa is a great choice. Located off the strip with a 17th rooftop terrace with panoramic views of the Las Vegas Strip. An elegant and sophisticated setting for your Las Vegas Wedding.

The Havana Room at the Tropicana Las Vegas can accommodate both the ceremony and the reception! With its state-of-the-art technology which allows you to change the lighting in the room to coordinate with your wedding colors. You are sure to have an all-night dance party here.

Regardless of what you select, your experience will be top notch and exactly what you envisioned. Most of all the luxury hotels in Las Vegas can create a custom wedding experience at any budget. From arranging to have those pink peonies in your wedding bouquet, to creating a custom dinner menu for you and all of your guests, it will all be custom designed around you and your wedding style. Think Las Vegas for your up and coming destination wedding.
