High school sweethearts Gage and Madison’s love story began during their freshman year at Vero Beach High School, where “infatuated” was the word they both used to describe those early days together. Their relationship grew stronger through college, weathering years of long-distance dating before life finally brought them back to the same hometown. After Madison graduated from the University of North Florida, the couple began building their first home together in 2024, marking the start of an exciting new chapter.
Gage had already purchased the engagement ring and intended to propose once they moved into their new home, but repeated construction delays forced him to rethink his plans. Instead, what seemed like a casual dinner reservation on Hutchinson Island became one of the most memorable evenings of their lives. Arriving early, he suggested a walk along the beach before dinner, where he surprised Madison by getting down on one knee. The celebration continued with both of their families waiting at the restaurant before ending the evening with flowers, champagne, and a romantic overnight stay at Hutchinson Shores Resort.
When selecting a wedding venue, the couple returned to a place that already held cherished memories. The Florida Keys had been the destination of their very first trip together, making Isla Bella Beach Resort the perfect setting to begin married life. Rather than planning a traditional Saturday wedding, the couple intentionally chose to marry on a Friday, allowing the celebration to continue well beyond the reception.

A truly Floridian wedding cake
Family remained at the heart of the celebration in more ways than one. A relative of Gage lovingly baked the couple’s wedding cake, choosing a quintessential Florida Keys flavor—key lime pie—for a dessert that felt both personal and perfectly suited to the destination.

Timeless: a choreographed first dance
Leading up to the wedding, Gage and Madison took dance lessons together, making their first dance one of the moments they anticipated most. Sharing that dance in front of family and friends quickly became one of the highlights of the evening, a reflection of the time and care they had invested in creating meaningful memories together.

Closing down the wedding weekend
The following day, they relaxed alongside family and friends at the resort, spending the afternoon lounging by the pool, sipping piña coladas, and reminiscing about the unforgettable moments they had shared. It was the perfect ending to a destination wedding centered on meaningful and beautiful experiences.
