Some love stories begin with a spark. Courtney and Brennen’s began with years of friendship. The two first met at the Ohana Institute in Rosemary Beach, Florida, where they spent much of their childhood growing up side by side. In the summer of 2024, he surprised Courtney on her parents’ property overlooking Choctawhatchee Bay—a place woven into her family’s history and one that would later become the setting for their wedding day.

In preparation for the wedding, Courtney’s parents thoughtfully expanded the property, adding a fully equipped catering kitchen, a dedicated bar room, and guest restrooms within the barn. Inspired by a classic Southern garden party, the wedding embraced soft pinks and fresh greens that echoed the surrounding landscape. The design felt light, joyful, and effortlessly timeless, allowing the bayfront setting to remain the focal point while introducing romantic floral touches by Myrtie Blue throughout the celebration. Every space flowed naturally into the next, creating an atmosphere that encouraged guests to slow down and savor the day.
Custom Anne Barge bridal fashion
Courtney’s bridal style reflected the same balance of timeless elegance and modern refinement found throughout the celebration.
She wore a custom Anne Barge gown crafted in floral jacquard, featuring an oversized bow that added a striking architectural detail to the back of the dress. The silhouette felt classic yet distinctive, perfectly complementing the outdoor setting and garden-inspired aesthetic.

Some of the most meaningful details came directly from the couple’s family. Courtney’s sister designed both the custom wedding crest and a collection of reception trucker hats featuring illustrations of the couple’s beloved Maltese puppy.
Equal parts sentimental and playful, the personalized artwork became one of the day’s most memorable guest experiences. Reflecting on these details, Courtney shared that they “made it incredibly special.”

Looking back, Courtney summed up the day with remarkable simplicity: “I loved getting to spend the entire day with my best friend.”
