Courtney and Jacob are an American couple who chose Italy for their romantic and intimate destination wedding, surrounded by their closest family and friends. The Amalfi Coast had always been a dream for them, which led them to the breathtaking Anantara Convento di Amalfi Grand Hotel—an iconic venue suspended between the sea and the sky. Formerly a 13th-century Capuchin monastery, the Anantara Convento offers one of the most evocative settings on the Amalfi Coast. Its historic cloister, nestled within ancient white stone columns, creates a timeless and sacred atmosphere—one of the most beautiful places to exchange vows in Southern Italy. With panoramic views of the Mediterranean and the charm of centuries-old architecture, it’s a dream come true for couples looking to blend Italian elegance, history, and beauty into one unforgettable day. This historic beauty is so clearly evident in Courtney and Jacob’s wedding, planned with the help of the event team of Anantara Convento di Amalfi and captured on camera by Eleonora Ferolla Photography.

Italian handfasting ritual
The ceremony was incredibly emotional and meaningful. Giovanna D’Amato Celebrant led a symbolic handfasting ritual, tying the couple’s hands with a ribbon in the colors of the Italian flag—a symbol of eternal connection with the land they chose to seal their love.

Creating contrast with florals
The floral design by Ravello Wedding Flowers brought a joyful contrast to the monastery’s white stone backdrop. Vibrant arrangements in shades of pink, orange, yellow and light blue filled the cloister with color and warmth, continuing into the dinner setup with elegant candelabras and a sea-view terrace.

Coastal candlelit reception
The day ended with a candlelit dinner overlooking the Amalfi Coast, filled with the rich flavors of traditional Italian cuisine and heartfelt toasts.

Traditional Italian millefoglie
One of the most unforgettable moments was the surprise sparkler show organized by the groom during the cake cutting—a traditional millefoglie. The bride, overwhelmed with joy, shouted, “This is the best day of my life!”

From the photographer
“As a wedding photographer, I always say that connection and trust are the foundation of every beautiful story I get to tell. Courtney and Jacob opened their hearts and shared their day with such grace and emotion—it was an honor to be there with them. Their love, the way they looked at each other, their quiet excitement and genuine joy stayed with me long after the day ended. I’m truly grateful every time I get to witness such authentic and emotional moments—and to preserve them forever through my lens.”
