Share

Bride in lace wedding dress holding bouquet indoors

Elegance and beauty surrounds Michelle and Brad’s formal pink and grey garden wedding. All held at Oatlands Plantation, with sweeping green lawns and manicured shrubbery you might forget you’re in Virginia, and not on some far away English countryside. Take note of the amazing and vibrant florals, and don’t miss the watermelon cookies. So cute!
Be sure to see every last detail of this Virginia wedding, all captured by Megan Noonan Photography. You can do so by visiting the full gallery here.

The Love Story

From the Bride: Brad and I met years ago through our common friends however it took a few years for us to get to know each other and start dating. Once we started dating, there was something different there, something special. A surprise to me, Brad proposed while we were on a ski vacation in Colorado.

We were married on May 10, 2014 in Leesburg, Virginia at the Oatlands Plantation outside on their beautiful grounds. The day began with pouring rain, but as luck would have it, just an hour before the ceremony, the sky parted and we had a lovely ceremony outside in the garden.

Heart-Warming Vows

We wrote our own vows which I would highly recommend to anyone. We didn’t share our vows beforehand so it was a heart-warming surprise during the ceremony to hear the meaningful words expressing love and promises for a lifetime from each other. As hard as it was to write down what you feel, it added a much more personal aspect to the ceremony, something we will never forget.

Please Don’t Drop Me!

The most terrifying, I mean thrilling part of the day was being hoisted up on chairs by our friends during the Horah dance. I do not have the words to fully describe the day, it was truly magical. It would be a dream to repeat it again and again, celebrating this momentous occasion.
