The second story of the Bird’s Nest, The Nest Above, is exclusively dedicated to hosting private events of up to 75 people and is accessible by stairs or by lift. It has its own set of curated menus for in-house and off-site catering. It’s an experience in itself. The mostly glass industrial meets rustic structure offers breathtaking views of Rocky Mountain National Park from every seat in the house. Deep slate blue velvet upholstery blends beautifully with the warm wood accents and modern chandeliers add an intriguing contrast that gives the space a unique versatility. It can go modern, rustic, or vintage depending on the styling. Whether you’re planning a micro-wedding there or hosting one (or more) of your pre or post-wedding events, The Nest Above is sure to WOW your guests. And just wait till they try the food!

As warm and welcoming as this space is, let’s be real…if you’re here, it’s all about the food! Bird & Jim regulars will recognize some tried and true favorites from that menu alongside a plethora of exciting new dishes and dining options. Whether you’re thinking of a buffet or a plated dinner, The Nest Above has so many great options to choose from. If you really want to go all out for your guests, we recommend going for the 5 course-plated dinner with wine pairing–you won’t be disappointed! If you’re looking for a catering option for your off-site wedding, they do that too! So forget running around to a bunch of tastings for the rehearsal dinner, wedding, and post-wedding brunch. You can get all that checked off your to-do list in one delicious day!

What we love most about The Nest Above is how versatile their offerings are when it comes to budget. You can opt for a hosted bar, a partially hosted bar, or a cash bar and select from a variety of liquors, wines, cocktails, and non-alcoholic beverages. At The Nest Above, they’re just as passionate about wine as they are about food. In fact, their sommelier will put together a custom wine selection for you and your guests that caters to your taste, they’ll even be present at the event if you’d like!
