Martin Thornburg Coda Gown Bride and Groom on Mountaintop

Leave it to Princess Eugenie and her white rose of York-inspired wedding to make us all believe in the beauty of blooms again. We loved both her ceremony and reception gowns, and each of them featured embroidered flowers that looked 👌👌👌. So, now that we’re seeing the world through rose-colored glasses, we figured it was a great time to talk about a gown that has officially stolen our hearts. New from Martin Thornburg, the Coda gown, embroidered with a super feminine floral vine pattern, is a dream come true.

Say Hello to Coda, Style 118281

You seriously can’t peel your eyes away from the whimsical details on this wedding gown, especially the unique allover beaded and embroidered pattern mimicking intertwining floral vines, punctuated by differently-sized flower heads. Probably what Zac Posen was envisioning with the York rose, when he designed Eugenie’s stunning silk and blush evening gown for the reception. There’s also a boned bodice with a slightly-curved back, a slimming natural waist, a horsehair hem, and a classic chapel train.

She’s pretty much perfection

The sweetheart lace over tulle, sequined tulle and organza is infinitely dreamy and because it’s textured to perfection, the bottom of the skirt naturally crimps – almost resembling the petals of a flower! The ivory/champagne coloration, too, is quite breathtaking, dynamic, and flattering for all skin tones. When photographed in certain lights, it almost looks blush, glowing. And of course, we’re big fans of the sheer bodice (since the perfectly-placed flowers disguise everything flawlessly), but the gown comes with a separate back modesty panel, just in case a bride wants extra modern coverage.

We get why she’s called Coda

The coda is basically THE mic drop moment for any performance, ballet, etc. So, it makes sense that this dress is named after it. When the bride steps onto the aisle wearing this Martin Thornburg magic, she’s like a magnet – and all of her guests’ gazes are arrested. She’s mesmerizing.
