the proposal
We were on a trip to Cancun, Mexico, having a great time with our friends. We headed to the beach to take some group photos, and while the girls were posing together, they suddenly dashed off, leaving me standing there. Feeling a bit confused, I turned around and caught a glimpse of him out of the corner of my eye. I did a double take in surprise, and all I remember is seeing him on one knee, the blue sparkle of the ring catching the light, and my heart just saying yes.

We longed for a setting that embraced both the beauty of nature and the charm of a quaint town. Lake Como unfolded before us as the perfect tapestry of city and landscape, where every moment felt magical. It was here, at Grand Hotel Imperiale, amidst the stunning vistas, that we dreamed of celebrating our love and creating memories that would last a lifetime. One of our favorite moments was when we were taking pictures, and joyful bystanders joined in the celebration, sharing in our happiness. Their spontaneous cheers and smiles made our special day feel even more magical as if the whole world was part of our love story.
the design: whimsical romance
We wanted to keep the decor simple to let the natural beauty of Lake Como shine through. I’ve always loved vibrant colors and a touch of whimsy, so I envisioned the florals reflecting that spirit. With the help of Amore Wedding Italy, we chose bright, spring blooms by Fiori In Riga that beautifully complemented the stunning views, creating an atmosphere of joy and romance.
the fashion
For her Western wedding dress, the bride rocked a dramatic mermaid gown with long lace sleeves, 3-D flower details, and a plunging neckline. The groom also opted for timeless elegance in a classic black tuxedo. For their traditional Korean wedding attire, the bride’s pastel hanbok brought out the lilac color of her hair and the groom wore a pastel blue shirt paired with a more casual gray pant as they walked around the city to take portraits.
