Let me tell you about Dustin and Jenn: these two are such a wonderful mix of playful and romantic. I adore how they look at each other. You can see the love radiating from them, and I think it’s obvious in the photos, which makes my job so much fun.
Dustin and Jenn met in high school. “I was a shy good girl and he was the one always making people laugh. He was everybody’s friend with a bigger than life spirit and fun attitude. I always thought he was cute and charming, but it wasn’t until 5 years later that we reconnected.” It turns out that Dustin always had a crush on Jenn, so when he walked back into her life, they took the chance on getting to know each other. “The more we hung out, I knew I wanted him as a friend, but I didn’t expect how quickly his patience in getting to know me and making me feel special turned into something more.” A friendship turned into a magnetic pull that could not be denied. It’s this pull that I see when they’re in front of my camera.
“He is my best friend and the love of my life. I thank God every day that he chose me to be the one by his side. We both feel so lucky to celebrate our love and commitment to each other and can’t wait to continue our adventure together!”
One of my favorite moments from the evening would have to be the cake cutting. I’ve been photographing weddings for over eight years now, and almost every single one of my couples choose to play it safe and be nice when feeding each other cake. I don’t blame them. I wouldn’t want cake on my dress. But Dustin and Jenn went for it with frosting everywhere, and it couldn’t have made me happier. The personality and laughter in that moment was amazing!
