Vibrant and Eclectic Winter City Elopement in Berlin

Non-traditional wedding in Germany

Martina & Stephan opted for a vibrant and eclectic winter elopement in Berlin with just the two of them, so that’s exactly what they did! The bride channeled her inner Carrie Bradshaw and rocked a stunning pair of Valentino Rockstud heels along with a twirl-worthy blue tulle skirt, which is quite possibly one of our favorite combos ever!

Their fun filled day was all about them, and they enjoyed every minute of it. From the beautiful dessert table, to their awesome photos throughout the bustling city of Berlin. Keep scrolling for more candid moments captured by Marlen Mieth, and check out the full gallery after.

Beautiful and unique elopement in Germany

A monday elopement

From the bride: The vision for our civil registry in the city was clear. Just the two of us! We are a very busy couple running our restaurant in Dresden, but we wanted the chemistry and vibes of a metropolis, so we chose Berlin. We planned our winter elopement on a Monday, which is very unusual considering most weddings happen on Fridays or Saturdays. It turned out to be a bright sunny day.

Carrie Bradshaw inspiration

Against all odds, we managed to keep it a secret with just our staff involved. We spent the night before with all our vendors and enjoyed good Korean food and drinks. The next day was a whirlwind of getting ready, getting changed, and driving to 4 different locations for pictures, but we wouldn’t change a thing. My vision of a Carrie Bradshaw moment in a real life came more than true.

vERY PERSONAL & Forever theirs

We didn’t exchange any rings. Instead we had two metal laser cut words created: LOVE (Liebe) & wedded bliss (Eheglück) that we exchanged instead. The day was emotional, very personal and forever ours.
