This couple’s love story is like something out of a fairytale. Boy needs a date for a ball, girl agrees to a blind date, they fall in love and live happily ever after. Seriously, does it get more romantic? With a story as picture-perfect as that, it’s no wonder that their wedding is equally timeless. With a big church ceremony and a ballroom reception decked out in romantic floral arrangements, this wedding is the epitome of classic.

HOW THEY MET
We met while in college at The University of Alabama during my sophomore year and Brian’s junior year. My sorority sister was dating one of Brian’s fraternity brothers. Brian had a winter formal coming up and wanted to bring a date but did not know who to ask. He asked our friend if she could see if any of her sorority sisters would want to go with him. Later that day she reached out to my pledge class and I replied letting her know I would like to be Brian’s date. We officially met a few days later at his winter formal and started dating the following semester!
FINDING A TIMELESS SPACE
After a year and a half of planning, it felt surreal when the day finally came! Our ceremony took place at St. Luke’s Methodist Church and our reception was at the Corinthian Houston. I always wanted a wedding venue that was going to be timeless and elegant and the Corinthian Houston was exactly that. The stunning and historic neo-classical banquet hall played perfectly into my vision. The hall’s 24 pillars and intricate marble wonderfully complimented my color pallet of blush, gold, and cream.
PRIORITIES
Florals were a large priority and make a big difference in wedding décor. Our florist went above and beyond and created an opulent and sophisticated ambiance with the design and flowers. Another element we placed immense value on was entertainment. We knew we wanted our wedding to be a big celebration with all of our favorite people so a DJ was a must and were thrilled that he kept everyone dancing all night long. Our wedding was even better than I could have ever imagined and truly the best day of my life!
