Thoughtful And Thrifty Woodland Wedding

Washigton Wedding

As a stylist and self professed perfectionist, Jenn wanted to throw a fabulous wedding that wouldn't eat up too much of her and her fiancé's savings. With a little determination and some thrifting, she did just that!
Their thoughtful and thrifty woodland wedding was set in the heart of Fort Townsend State Park and was captured in all its classic beauty by Meredith McKee Photography. To see more stop in and take a look around the full gallery here.

From The Bride On Thrifting For Her Wedding

Every week I visited local thrift stores to look (I liked to call it "treasure hunt") for items that made my idea come to life. Crystal candlestick holders, wooden boxes, antique china plates, ribbon, interesting jars and glasses, etc. Even my wonderful mother sent me some candlesticks she came across while antiquing in Missouri!

I knew I wanted some sort of "place mat" or chargers for our place settings. While all the chargers I came across were not in our budget, I found wonderful gold dotted paper placemats at Carol & Comany. They turned out beautifully!

Advice from the Bride

The best, most popular advice I would suggest is to breathe and to take everything in. It goes by so fast! One thing I did however, was to get up early and sit outside by myself to reflect/pray on the day and for our future. I felt very calm and was then ready to start the day!
