Cowgirl boots, lace and burlap decorations, a farm venue … you might be thinking that all signs point to a charming southern wedding. Not the case, this colorful country wedding took place just south of Portland, Oregon at the picturesque Wilmes Hop Farms.
Michaeline and Austin tied the knot in an outdoor ceremony followed by a reception en plein air. Colorful floral arrangements filled the event with the vibrant shades of summer from start to finish. The forecast was absolutely perfect on Michaeline and Austin’s wedding day! With both the ceremony and the reception taking place outside they were able to thoroughly enjoy the beautiful weather with all of their guests.
Michaeline and Austin’s reception had lots of adorable details from the chalkboard monogram sign in the bed of a vintage truck to the cake table constructed of a vintage door and wine barrels. Mason jars wrapped in burlap, lace and twine held colorful summery flowers on each of the tables. Guests sipped on lemonade and iced tea using gray and white stripe paper straws. Soda was also available – and it was kept cold in a vintage wheelbarrow filled with ice. How cute is that?!
On the Venue: Wilmes Hop Farms offers a picturesque venue situated next to a working hop farm – a beautiful backdrop for your special event! Not only do they have one and a half acres of lushly landscaped grounds that are perfect for outdoor events, they also have a special events building complete with tap and bar with wood counters, barn wood walls adorned with antique signs and memorabilia, stained cement floors, hop garland, antique tables and screen cupboards. Sounds like the perfect rustic venue no matter what type of weather Mother Nature has in store!
