Snow Hill, Maryland Quirky Budget Friendly Wedding

cute and quirky wedding ideas

There are tons of wedding styles out there but which one is the best for brides on a budget? Our pick... Shabby Chic! This fabulous style is easily discovered at thrift stores or your relatives attics and if things don't match perfectly it's really no biggie. Emily and Tim's gorgeous Furnace Town wedding day is a prime example of just how amazing this mismatched style is! Captured beautifully by Sarah Murray Photography you can see even more great ideas in the full gallery here!

From Sarah Murray Photography:Getting ready took place at the Atlantic Hotel, built in the late 1800's in the Historical downtown streets of Berlin, MD (home of hollywood films of Runaway Bride & Tuck Everlasting). From the moment she slipped into her rose glittered heels and tied the bow on the sash she made herself , it was magical.

From the Bride:Tim and I wanted a rustic outdoor setting for our wedding day and although Furnace Town has not been used for many weddings our size it turned out to be the perfect spot! It's history and unique setting was a great backdrop and Sarah of Sarah Murray Photography captured the day start to finish perfectly!!

From Sarah Murray Photography:
Polka dots, golden glitter, homemade jam, lace, and hundreds of old white vases were just the beginning. There were vintage inspired fabric, garland, doilies, and light bulbs strung up through the trees. Couches, hay bails, and quilts dispersed for seating, and bathtubs of beer to keep everyone dancing under the stars. The reception wasn't the only part of the day that made you feel as if you had traveled back in time.

Shabby Chic is a great wedding style for those on a budget! with fairly low cost elements like several yards of mismatched fabric, a little burlap, and fresh cut flowers in thrift store vases and you are golden! Emily and Tim were able to keep their whole day's events under $20,o00 and their personalities were truly represented through every part of their gorgeous wedding day.
From the Bride:We did a lot of DIY, chose fresh cut flowers instead of arrangements, did BBQ, and chose a flexible venue that allowed us to bring our own alcohol and didn't have a bunch of hidden fees. I think we did a good job of proving you don't have to spend a fortune to have the best day ever!!

We did not use a wedding planner but with the help of my amazing mother, great friends, family, and florist we were able to pull off what I only had dreamt of on my busting at the seams Pinterest board! With a limited budget our main goal was always to throw one heck of a party for everyone we loved the most. We went with a casual pig roast (BBQ is my favorite!!), picnic table seating, and lots of unique craft beer spread throughout the grounds (Tim's department!).

I highly recommend creating your wedding alongside your partner and making sure the day portrays who you are as a couple. With unique touches and a whole lot of love it is bound to be the perfect day!! Hire people who share your vision because I know without a couple special people the day would not have run as smoothly or be the dream wedding we will always remember it to be!
