Rustic Natural Purple Wedding

Natural Romantic purple wedding

Who doesn't love soft shades of purple against a natural backdrop of green? Well this next wedding took place at Postlewaits near Portland, OR and the beautiful natural scenery set the stage for their romantic I dos!

The brides stunning Hayley Paige dress was certainly our favorite detail, but not the last! Save your favorites when you visit the full gallery, and enjoy this special day beautifully captured by Gina Paulson Photography

Love filled day

From Gina Paulson Photography: Katie and Kyle are a couple who are not only authentic and sweet people who have a genuine love for not only each other but their family and friends.

They allowed their dog to be their ring bearer (bow tie and all!), a good friend sang and played the guitar as she came down the aisle, and they had an impressive choreographed danced with the bride's parents included at their reception. They are incredible beautiful and sweet people, their day was truly an all-embracing genuine and love filled day.

Shades of lavender

The venue itself was at Postlewaits, which is set south of Portland in a small rustic winery with an outdoor ceremony spot lined by gardens and northwest trees and a small dance floor surrounded by string lights and vineyards. I love how they incorporated their Lavender wedding color and its soft compliment against the green Oregon background that surrounded most of the wedding.

Set DIY limits

From the bride: Pinterest is as much your friend as it can be your enemy. DIY the non-essentials and let the professionals handle the rest to limit the number of things you have to do on the wedding day.

DON'T GO OVERBOARD

Definitely shop around! Prioritize what is most important to you and focus your budget on those things. We saved by picking flowers from a local lavender farm and ordered some from Costco. It is easy to go overboard so keep track and lean on the talents of friends and family!
