This little corner of the states has some stunning mountains, meadows, and yes even islands all of which are gorgeous backdrops for your “I do”s. This next Glamping (that’s glam camping) wedding took place in the beautiful San Juan Islands and it is hard not to be obsessed!

This wedding was all about fun, beauty and guest experience! Our couple Kaitlin and Colin were keen on having a modern, bright and fun wedding outdoors, in the woods, in the Pacific Northwest’s San Juan islands. The venue, Lakedale Resort, is large property with glamping sites, cabins and campsites around a lake on San Juan Island. It made a wonderful destination to bring family and friends together to celebrate K+C in style, surrounded by the remote beauty of woods, lakes, and sea.
The design of the event was far from woodsy, the aesthetic was modern and eclectic with long communal tables, neon signage, bold flowers in coral and pink, copper and geometric elements, bistro lighting, and bar and lounge installations. The ceremony took place in one of the site’s campgrounds, surrounded by tall conifer trees. After the ceremony guests were welcomed with agua frescas, a full bar and a live band for a cocktail hour next to the lake. Dinner was held under the bistro lights and stars in a field surrounded by trees, followed by a dessert and s’mores bar and dancing into the night.
