Janelle and Brian eloped in the magical mountains of Hemlock Falls at the sweetest ceremony that included Brian’s two handsome little boys.

We aren’t big on traditional things so we took a different approach to planning our wedding. Brian and I decided on an elopement package. Small and intimate was important to us. We also wanted something with a pretty outdoor view. We decided on Hemlock Falls which happens to be 15 minutes away from a tiny home we own, Rustic Retreat, in a tiny home community called Retreat by Water’s Edge. Our family and friends stayed in their own tiny home for the weekend. This allowed us to spend more time with them since they all live out of state. In addition, it allowed for our ceremony to be more intimate. I felt so much more relaxed and not as overwhelmed with a jam packed wedding day. We simply got to spend time with our family and have a short ceremony followed by pictures, and a taco bar back at the tiny home community.

The forecast wasn’t looking promising. The entire weekend called for rain and storms. Luckily, there was a short break in the weather to allow us to have our ceremony as the sun rays peaked through the clouds. On 8/21/2021 we got married and it was perfect.

We are having our reception in Wisconsin on 9/5/2021 with the rest of our family and friends. We both were born in Wisconsin, two hours away from each other but we meet here in Nashville, TN. We look forward to the second part of our celebration with more of the people we love!

THE ENGAGEMENT

January 5th Brian proposed to Janelle with the boys on the John Seigenthaler pedestrian bridge in downtown Nashville, Tennessee. He had a drone following to record the moment and had the song Blessings playing by Florida Georgia Line.

THE LOOK

Janelle was stunning in her gown from The White Room. Makeup artist Kyrsten Kell and hair stylist Laney Millard completed the look with soft and natural makeup and a gorgeous loose updo. Blooms & Blossoms created a boho glam bouquet that was beyond perfect for this bride’s style. Brian was also looking sharp in this gray fitted suit and his always perfect hair and his little minis were suited up in suspenders and pink bow ties.
