Iris-inspired Nashville wedding with a rustic-meets-industrial vibe

industrial Nashville wedding venue

Emily, exhausted by dating apps, vowed that her date with Grant, whom she had met online, would be her last first date. Little did Emily know that this date would indeed be her last first date ever! For their engagement, Grant hired a photographer and scouted a special proposal location. After a long walk together, he led Emily to the special spot just as a torrential rainstorm (with hail!) swiftly moved in. Once the sky cleared, they made their way back to the spot, where Grant got down on one knee to propose, completely soaked from the weather. Inspired by the concept of wildflowers and honoring Emily’s favorite flower, Grant and Emily’s Nashville wedding at Saint Elle was devoted to the iris. Keep scrolling to see how this wedding of indigos, purples, and yellow accents, planned with the help of W Events and captured by Eden Ingle Photo, came together.

Bridal style: Flowy and romantic

Emily donned a gauzy tulle gown with hairstyling by Harper and Olive and makeup by One10 Beauty House.  Her bouquet from Sunburst Florals was full of texture from irises, Gerber daisies, and plenty of wildflowers.

The couple felt it was important to not only create a visual experience for their guests but also be true to their personalities. Because of this, the wedding celebrations took place at Saint Elle, a Nashville event space focused on natural lighting to complement the 1950’s bow truss ceiling design. The indoor ceremony highlighted whimsical floral pillars comprised of irises and lilies of the valley.

During the reception, Emily changed into a more casual lace maxi dress with flowy sleeves and white Birkenstocks. Grant exchanged his dress shoes for Nike’s and made a unique style choice of his own – going from day to night with his facial hair and shaving his beard into a mustache.
