their love story

Charlie actually bought my business from me. The day the deal went through, he asked if I wanted to go to dinner to celebrate. I said yes, of course, but when we arrived at the very romantic, moody restaurant, I started wondering—was this a deal celebration or actually a date? So glad it was a date! Charlie proposed a couple of days before my birthday. I had been doing laundry, and he called me into our bedroom—he had completely filled the room with balloons! I was so happy and thought, “How lovely that he did this for my birthday…” And then he got down on one knee!
the vision

Guests made their way into the lush garden space where the ceremony came to life. Vibrant periwinkle and sky blue floral arrangements speckled with white roses lined the aisle, culminating in a grand floral altar that seemed to blend into the natural surroundings.
The night before the wedding, a few of us girls (Charlie’s mum, sisters, and brothers’ girlfriends) sat on the terrace of our room and made the table settings—sprigs of lavender stuck into a lemon with the name cards. We had a great production line, and it was actually a lot of fun!

finding the dress

“It was actually the first dress I tried on! I tried a couple of others on in the shop afterward, but they didn’t compare even a tiny bit to my dress,” recalled Carrie. She knew it was the one! “Everyone I worked with made me feel super comfortable and special.”

getting ready

Once I was fully in the dress, everything just felt perfect, and I couldn’t wait to marry the love of my life. It’s very cliché, but I really did feel like a princess in the most romantic and magical fairytale of all time! I think every single person at the wedding commented on how amazing the dress was. One of my flower girls, 5-year-old Jorgie, was completely captivated by it and insisted on carrying my train whenever she had the chance!

the dress: remi by galia lahav
Bestseller “Remi” is a fresh twist on the classic GALA-805 design. Her form-fitting mermaid style with boho-glam lace accentuates the body and celebrates intricate lacework artistry. The gown features a high-neck collar, tailored sleeves, and a keyhole open back supported by an inner boned bodice. Inspired by regal wedding attire, Remi is loved by modern-day brides.

a very special flower girl

We had our beautiful daughter in March 2024, so Sienna was at the wedding as our very special flower girl. Charlie and I are originally from the UK but live in Australia. Our wedding was in Italy, so having all of our loved ones there to celebrate with us was incredibly special.

Congrats Carrie & Charlie!! Be sure to check out the full gallery below by Studio Leau for even more Remi gown inspo from Galia Lahav.
