French Countryside Wedding at Le Chateau de la Fontaine

Share

Le Chateau de la Fontaine

Camille is French and her husband Jonathon is a New-Zealander, but they both found love and reside in London. Although they live in the UK, they decided on a French wedding.
As one can imagine, planning their dream wedding from the UK was not always easy, but with the help of Camille’s Mom and event designer Agence Smack they had a charming French countryside wedding at Le Chateau de la Fontaine. As always, there are so many more darling details you must see in the full gallery here, all captured by MADfotos.

From The Bride On The Venue:
The beautiful countryside south of Paris called Gâtinais. We found the beautiful Le Chateau de la Fontaine and fell in love with the place. The reception hall is an old stabled building from the XVI century with meant stone walls and amazing wooden beams. It was made up of three large and bright rooms that we could use exactly as we liked, which was a change from what we had seen in the area. There were also a few rooms for our family and friends, which sold the deal for us as we had so many people coming from far away

In France to make a wedding legal, you have to be married at the town hall by the mayor. It’s usually a quick, legal thing, and then you are off to your ceremony. a very personal engagement ceremony where we had our family and friends read beautiful texts that we had chosen. We also exchanged our rings and vows – Jon’s were the most wonderful I had ever heard a man speak! The whole ceremony was led by one of our friends, my drama teacher who is an actor in London and happens to speak fluent French and English. He was absolutely perfect in this important role.

French Countryside Wedding Ideas

Carole of Agence Smack, was perfect wedding planner for us, a French planner based in London, who had plenty of craziness and talent in her to understand my ideas and make them a reality. Her team did a wonderful job. They hunted around for lots of little objects that created the exact atmosphere that I was after. They created all the center pieces, decorations as well as my beautiful bouquet. I was so in love with it I was hardly found without it.

All of the tables had unique hand-made arrangements put together by Agence Smack. In fact there are quite a few more photos of all the unique arrangements they put together in the full gallery here. We also love the polka dot printed favor bags that Camille and Jonathan gave to their guests.
