On April 10, 2013, La Gartier Bride Jataura Smith was married to the love of her life in Charleston, South Carolina. For her wedding day, she had a gorgeous “Charleston” inspired custom wedding garter created by La Gartier Wedding Garters. The body of the garter was made of ivory dupioni silk ribbon and antique white lace trim. Around the body of the garter were over one hundred rhinestones, fresh water pearls, swarovski crystals and beads. At the center of the garter was a vintage “turtle” hat pin that is estimated to be nearly seventy years old. The amber-colored turtle pin served as a fabulous “something old” and added just the right, final touch to her garter. The best part? The pin was removable so that Jataura could use it for other purposes after her wedding day. Jataura’s custom garter was everything that her wedding was: gorgeous, special, traditional, and distinctly Southern.
