I love small weddings. All the craziness that has a tendency to sweep an entire wedding away becomes quiet. There is a stillness that surrounds a couple as they commit themselves to each other. There is something about 40 people witnessing such a sacred ceremony that just gives me shivers. Such was Cari & Dan’s wedding.
July in New York during a heatwave: it was 100 degrees outside, but still a delight to capture Cari & Dan’s gorgeous day.

The bride and groom celebrated with a small, intimate ceremony and a reception at Blue Hill at Stone Barns, which was a gorgeous place to shoot and had some of the best food I’ve ever put in my mouth. Seriously: ever.
