From Amanda Sharp Makeup: Some of the DIY projects that the bride and groom crafted include a long farm table where guests enjoyed a family style dinner, the wooden arbor where they said “I-Do”, the guest book and all wedding signs, the refurbished an antique hutch to house delicious sweets and handmade dessert stands and last but not least, the 60’ Green garland runner for farm table. “I am extremely crafty and I knew I would make everything — so I did! I wanted it to be majestic and feel peaceful.”
Cory and Amanda had a Western religion ceremony that included their little boy Finnley; they incorporated a handfasting ceremony with a water purification. They hand their hands bound with a red ribbon which is a sign of good luck.
The couple went with a display of assorted desserts. Keeping the feel local from Magpies Bakery. They had dozens of different cupcakes with fresh baked mini pies. The hutch that housed the beautiful display of desserts was restored and finished by the bride. The antique hutch also displayed their single tiered cake that was red velvet with cream cheese scrapped frosting with a drip of caramel that had blackberries and fresh figs to give the perfect touch. The cake tasted as good as it looked! The couple also shares a love for donuts and had another table of assorted donuts from Makers Donuts. A sea of bacon, raspberry and lemon floated in the air.
