Colorful Manor Wedding

A little bit of elegance mixed with bright florals was the perfect amount of contrast at this gorgeous Tuscan-inspired wedding venue. Exposed brick and hanging chandeliers really set the bar for the decor which perfectly matched the Bride’s aesthetic. This Bride rocked a classic wedding train, timeless Hayley Paige gown and a sophisticated updo that you are sure to l-o-v-e! We

The Location

Colorful Manor Wedding

Katie and Andrew met at Texas A&M and are both veterinarians so naturally they have a love for all things animals. Andrew had to include his cat into the groom’s cake! They both knew they would have to down size their wedding but refused to make it a gloomy affaire. They opted to have as much color as possible and really make it a small “fiesta” inside this stunning Manor.

We were so excited to photograph Katie and Andrew’s wedding. Both are veterinarians that met at Texas A&M during vet school – all near and dear to our hearts, as C. Baron is named after dogs and there’s a Texas Aggie vibe here, too. Our area came out of lockdown during the summer of 2020 and their wedding was one of the first with more than a few guests (masked, of course)! It was so fun to get to see all of our favorite friendors in person at one wedding. We came together to celebrate Katie and Andrew and create a beautiful space and a fun time, even during the uncertainty.

Katie chose a Hayley Paige gown and it was absolutely gorgeous – “I wanted to something a little different, but still be myself. I fell in love with it instantly and loved the added drama of the stripes – it was both elegant and playful.” It set the tone and fit perfectly with the modernly vintage and industrial feel from the new venue, Iron Manor, in Montgomery, Texas.

Katie loved the look of the venue – “the exposed brick and the Carnegie steel blew me away – it is gorgeous and unlike any other venue I had ever been to. I also loved all of the small details – they thought of everything – the intricate steampunk bar, the wedding suites, the moving chandelier, the floating cake table – it was amazing!” Her florals – full of roses, orchids, lisianthus, snapdragons, craspedia, veronika and hypericum berries – reflected her summer wedding date with deep pastel colors – were so vibrant with the brick background. The tablescapes and vignettes were full of greenery and pops of bright summer color.

Katie wanted her cake to “repeat all the bright colors and I wanted a traditional style, with a little extra bling. I really wanted it to be both elegant and playful. It was both delicious and everything I could have asked for in a cake.” The groom’s cake had a nod to their love of animals, with a little cat on top of it. The couple danced into the night, ending with singing the Aggie War Hymn and fun sparkler leave. They shared their favorite cocktails with their guests and allowed guests to customize them with personal fixings – hers, a Moscow Mule and his was an Old Fashion. The couple sent their guests home with a hand-bottled and labeled jar of honey from her dad’s hives – “it was so fun and meant a lot to me to share his honey with everyone!” We wish these two much happiness.
