In mid-June, we received a request from a young engaged couple, who planned a trip to Rome for the end of July and decided at the last minute to get married! They asked us if it was possible to manage their request in so short a time!
First, we contacted the town hall of Rome to see about the availability of a room for the ceremony on one of the few dates that they have requested. Great luck! There was an empty slot on a Thursday at noon! Certainly it was not the most ideal time, considering the high temperatures of summer in Italy, but fortunately the room Vignola Mattei is located at the Terme di Caracalla, in a large, leafy corner generously shaded by many trees. Not so bad!
All that remained was to define the timing for the preparation of the necessary documents. A quick exchange of e-mails, and in only three days we reached the final answer: we can try! So we come to the big day of the wedding – yesterday! – when we met the friendly Laurie and Matt and their couple of friends witnesses, radiant and excited for the happy ending to their wedding challenge!
