Elegant bride and groom on their wedding day in nature

Omg…talk about a dream wedding! Jenny and James had an unforgettable destination wedding weekend at the historic Adare Manor in Limerick, Ireland, and this lavish celebration will have you at the edge of your seat!

Olivia Buckley International styled their entire event with a fabulous festival-vibe that included 3D floral installations, a custom-built glass marquee, a towering nine-tier wedding cake (why have only one?), followed by a post-wedding Australian barbeque in all-white! Read more about this extravagant weekend below, and be sure to catch the full gallery from Jonas Peterson for a closer look.

Australia to Ireland

From Olivia Buckley International: Jenny and James knew they wanted to create an unforgettable weekend for their friends and family at the historic Adare Manor in Limerick, Ireland – and they succeeded with the help of their wedding planner’s team, even though the couple lives in Sydney, Australia. “We wanted to take our guests on a journey the whole weekend, to surprise and delight at every corner and create something unique,” Jenny says.

James and Jenny met at a music festival in Sydney in 2013, where she wore a pair of leather mouse ears that caught James’ attention, and were engaged during a picnic that ran a bit late – but Jenny said yes, so everything worked out perfectly. When it came to planning their wedding, Jenny wanted to represent the best of Australian fashion, choosing designer Steven Khalil to create three gowns – one for the formal wedding ceremony, then a second vintage-style beaded dress for the reception and finally a playful, tulle-laden gown for their next-day barbecue. Australian designer Viktoria Novak made Jenny’s headpiece for the ceremony, too.

Extra details

The wedding day began with a beautiful ceremony on the lawns of Adare Manor, followed by an elegant and sophisticated wedding dinner showcasing the best in Irish produce and fine wines, prepared by Loughlin Druhan, head of culinary at Adare Manor. Guests then made their way to a custom-built glass marquee with 3D floral installations and aerial artists to cut the cake and dance the night away. The following day was the post-wedding “white party,” an Australian-themed festival with a traditional barbecue, Australian beers, Australian games and an eclectic music lineup, which took place in a balloon-filled glass marquee in the secret walled garden at Adare Manor.

A dream come true

“The mood was happy, fun and exciting, and we wish we could do it all again!” Jenny says. The weather was sunny and perfect, and guests from Australia and Ireland had an opportunity to get to know each other. “To marry your best friend is the most special feeling in the world, and to do it surrounded by the people you love in beautifully designed creations was a dream come true.”
