Vibrant colors were the star of this Dominican Republic beach wedding

Amarilis and Armando met in the Dominican Republic in December of 2018. What started as a playful challenge by Armando turned into endless conversations, and after a month of chatting, they went on their first date: an amazing 6-hour-long dinner at Olivia's restaurant with blue flowers as a bouquet. The rest is history, as they say, and the couple celebrated their third anniversary by getting engaged and fourth by getting married!

Their color palette was earthy brunt oranges, deep greens, and rich browns

The wedding itself was a beautiful blend of bohemian elegance with earthy colors that reflected the couple's love for nature and the beach—and it truly was magical! They also incorporated a sand ceremony as part of the vows to symbolize coming together as one.

The bride and groom's attire fit with their natural, bohemian vibe

The bride's gown was a white A-line dress with lace detailing that added to the bohemian vibe, while the groom donned a linen suit that matched perfectly. The bride reflected: “Our wedding day was a beautiful blend of bohemian elegance with earthy colors that reflected our love for nature and the beach. We wanted our special day to reflect who we are as people: fun-loving and adventurous souls who enjoy being outdoors in nature whenever possible (even if it means braving the heat!). We were able to do this using the color palette of burnt orange, deep greens, rich browns.”

Gold details brought a level of elegance to their vibrant color palette

At the reception, the bride and groom opted for a mix of circular and square tables with a rustic but elegant look. The tables were set with golden platters, adding a touch of glamour to the decor. The centerpieces were beautiful arrangements of pink and white flowers, creating a stunning visual impact. They also created a boho mismatched lounge with sofas close to the dancing floor for guests to relax and enjoy the night. The "LOVE" sign placed on the dance floor added a touch of whimsy, making for a memorable and beautiful event. The decor was a reflection of Amarilis and Armando's love and joy, and the space was transformed into a magical celebration of their special day.

Advice from the couple

"1. Pick your vendors carefully: Research and choose vendors that have good reviews, match your style, and fit within your budget. You will spend more time with your photographer and videographer than with some of your guests, so make sure you choose people you vibe with!

2. Personalize your day: Incorporate unique and personal touches to make your wedding day reflect your relationship and personalities. Nothing is set in stone, and you don’t have to follow any rules - this is about what you want to do that day.

3. Communicate with your partner: Have open and honest communication with your partner throughout the planning process. Make sure you are both on the same page.

4. Enjoy the planning process: Don't get too caught up in the details - remember to have fun! Your wedding day should be a celebration of your love and commitment to each other."
