Vanessa and Kyle’s summer soiree was all about letting their venue in the heart of Carmel Valley, California shine. Organic vibes were the focus for the design throughout their al fresco ceremony and reception, with florals sprinkled into the decor in soft earthy tones and a muted color palette to let the scenery and beauty of the venue be the star of the show. This wedding is outdoor wedding goals in every way possible, bringing that “California cool” aesthetic to a new level!

An outdoor wedding was the only option for this chic, “California cool” aesthetic
Vanessa and Kyle knew they wanted a venue that was outdoors, and as soon as they saw Holman, they loved it because it has so many great features including the beautiful buildings, the vineyard backdrop, and the Carmel valley behind the property. Additionally, they really liked the idea of the guests not having to travel from the reception to ceremony.
Meaningful, family details made all the difference on such a special day
The couple made sure to incorporate meaningful details into their ceremony, including mentioning their grandparents who had passed away or were not well enough to be there physically as they have always been an incredibly important part of both the bride and groom’s lives.

It wasn’t a party until they got out the custom glow sticks!
At the reception, the couple served short ribs, salmon, asparagus risotto, salad, tie-dye butter, and mashed potatoes. It was catered by Paradise Catering, and after the event, the couple couldn’t recommend them enough. Guests were still telling Vanessa and Kyle months later that it was the best wedding food they’ve ever had! Their friend who owns Soul Paper made the couple custom drink napkins and a custom watercolor painting “guest book” that had their dog on it, which they loved! There was dancing thanks to an amazing DJ and a super fun photobooth to commemorate the evening. One of the most memorable personalized details that the bride made sure to include at the reception was custom light sticks that said “The Smiths.”

Looking back, the bride’s favorite details were the flowers, courtesy of Seascape Flowers. In the carriage barn, Seascape installed disco balls and greenery, and they also decorated a quaint sitting area on the lawn. All the greens and whites throughout the floral design really added to the chic aesthetic the couple was going for. The bride also loved the table settings that Eileen (their wedding planner) helped pick out!
