Soft Pastel Watercolor Micro Wedding Inspiration in Houston

Share

Groom kisses bride wearing hat and holding bouquet

Soft pastels dominate this watercolor-inspired shoot and have us dreaming of spring weddings! This adorable outdoor garden ceremony is intimate and magical, perfect for a micro-wedding. With smaller weddings becoming more and more popular in recent months, smaller venues like Thirteen 48 Heights are becoming a hot commodity. The grand vintage architecture makes for great photos while renting an entire building allows for a more intimate gathering.

Vanessa Lee designed this pretty pastel shoot and, with the help of Jackie Trejo Floral Design, brought it to life through these stunning florals. These light and airy photos by Marni Wishart Photography make this gorgeous shoot all the more dreamy. To see even more from this inspiration shoot, check out the full gallery. Keep reading to hear more from the planner, Vanessa Lee.

TELLING THEIR STORY

Tree decorated with pastel roses near white building

Thirteen 48 Heights is a vintage venue that is the perfect canvas for us to reimagine what intimate events can look like. Vanessa from LoveLee Experiences carefully paired the design with its designated space so that everything flowed seamlessly from one space to another. Each detail shot by Marni Wishart Photography was intentionally crafted to tell a story. Westy and Kyle have been married for 3 years and brought such amazing chemistry. The Lea-Ann Belter gown from Evangeline Bridal was chic and paired perfectly with Westy’s updo and natural makeup by Hey Lovely Makeup. The moment Kyle saw her, he was overcome with joy knowing that she is his forever.

The invitations by So Crafty Studio were classic and timeless. Capturing each detail in a bed of flowers and atop the Blue Blooms linen by House of Hough creates watercolor-like imagery. The rings by Platinum By Le sparkled radiantly as the model posed for bridal portraits. The cake by Danmarie Bunag sets the stage as it sits gorgeously in the front entrance as if extending a warm yet fun welcome. The design brings us into a fairy-like, magical whimsy that immediately captures and holds our attention.

DEPTH AND CONTRAST

The alfresco table for six is beautifully framed with sheer drapes and two arrangements that draw attention to the couple. One of our favorite aspects of this table are the beautiful blush blooms napkins by House of Hough that mirror the beautiful drinkware and flatware from Your Butler’s Pantry. The smoked Estelle glasses were intentionally chosen to create contrast and depth in the tablescape. The charcuterie cones that Rosemary Cheese Co. created add a fun twist for guests to enjoy–such a delicious treat!

DEEP ROOTS

Elegant outdoor wedding table setup with beautiful flowers

Jackie Trejo Floral Design beautifully arranged peach and purple flowers for the altar. The flowers transition into the green vines that climb vertically up the tree, symbolizing that marriage’s external beauty is made possible through a stable foundation. Only through a deep network of roots will the tree be strengthened and flourish. Similarly, the couple’s bond since middle/high school continues to stay strong through mutual sacrifices, respect, and love.
