Chic Picnic Elopement

With the changing times, we are all faced with a new reality when it comes to life and weddings. When dreaming up an intimate yet fun idea for my new clients I thought a sophisticated picnic may be the right fit. Using their original colours and floral selection as the backdrop, we added a few details to give the upscale picnic vibe and of course, included a smorgasbord of cheese. The tent and balloons brought a relaxed and fun vibe to the shoot and the accent of roses and ranunculus florals kept the design fluid.

The Florals

The florals, by A la vie au vert creations florales, in gold and white vases, provided a fine art feel that would elevate the rustic picnic table. We used a mix of ranunculus and roses to bring in the soft and romantic vibe and to compliment our colour palette of blush, white and rosegold.

We kept the table setting lush, but functional by adding bigger floral arrangements on the ends and two smaller ones in the middle to fill out the table. We went with all hues of blush and darker rose for the seating to tie in the romance and light airiness of the flowers.

The Dress

When selecting the bridal dress from Dream It Yourself, we decided to go with an ivory/nude toned gown from Willow by Watters. The tulle created a soft and romantic vibe as well as would be practical for a bride needing to sit on a lower bench or pillows. We selected a taupe suit for the groom and skipped a tie in order for the shoot to feel romantic yet relaxed.

The Tent and Beautiful Balloons

The tent and carpet in a neutral colour were included to contrast with the tablescape. Adding flowers on the edges of the tent tied in the romantic feel given to the table and created an upscale boho vibe. The cascading balloon installation by Ballons Luxe carried on a whimsical feel with peach and rose gold.
