Neutrals, you've had your moment, make way for this year's hottest color palette, pastels. It started with a blush flower sprinkled in here and there, then came the lavender accents, and a blue velvet ring box, but now the world has embraced pastels wholeheartedly and there's no going back. From the cotton candy-hued floral arch to the pink glassware, this styled shoot in Texas is the ultimate celebration of this dreamy color palette. So, take this as your sign to introduce a little (or a lot) more color into your wedding design, because...well, just look at it, you can't help but smile.
Heather Benge of Styled Shoots Across America designed this whimsical shoot and to say they had fun with it would be an understatement. We can't get enough of these delectable florals by Flower Shack Blooms, especially the epic circular ceremony installation. With its French blue roof and spacious gardens, The Olana was the perfect venue for this romantic editorial. We also love how Hetler Photography made sure to capture this joyous color palette in each and every photo. Keep reading to hear more about this beautiful shoot and how it all came together.
Driving up the driveway to this gorgeous venue, I could hardly contain my excitement. The grand view from the front took my breath away. Large floral installations were the focal point as you walked in and my camera was about to jump out of my bag ready to start working. Just simply, wow. Pastel pinks and blues were decorating the table and tall floral centerpieces finished the tablescape.
The bride's gown was playful and exciting with layers of texture giving it so much movement and interest. Every time the groom pulled the bride in for one more kiss, it left the camera wanting one more moment of tenderness, one more moment of joy, one more moment captured.
1. Choose colors that you love, not necessarily what is in style.
2. When deciding on decor for your reception tables, think layers. Using different layers level up your photos so much. One more layer of plates. One more layer with a napkin and flower on top. One more layer with two pieces of stemware. Layers = beauty.
3. Have fun. You only get this day once...so take a minute (or two) and just enjoy. Trust your vendors and let them work for YOU!View All Images
