When putting together this shoot Olive & Grace Events and Rosetree Weddings & Events wanted to create an inviting space with a warm + earthy vibe in the midst of winter. They collaborated with a team of vendors to pull together this unique design with mixed elements of smoked glass, metallics, willow, and pops of yellow.

warm details for winter
From Olive & Grace Events: One of the most enjoyable parts of designing an event at a venue like the Hutton House is that it truly is a blank slate. Our focus for this shoot was to create a style that was warm, romantic and earthy that could coexist with the still heavily falling snow. We wanted to incorporate touches of glamour to highlight the venues light fixtures and grand fireplace while adding in some modern elements that were unexpected, but inviting. Overall, our goal was to create details that make guests want to linger.

Instead of using large amounts of spring greenery that would highlight the white-winter landscape, the chosen floral instead was forsythia and willow – whose stems match the Minnesota landscape, but whose yellow flowers brought life. We softened its bold color by combining it with the natural textures in our wood placemats and marble plating and used pale yellow quartzite details to pull it all together. We then added hand calligraphy place cards on a smoky stained glass, gold mirrored side tables and dessert trays, and modern-lined accents to foster an atmosphere of quiet luxury.
RL married couple
From Yantes Photo: One of the things that made this inspiration shoot so enjoyable was the fact that the models were an actual married couple. We were able to capture so many real moments between these newlyweds and their love for each other is contagious! Even in the quiet moments, their joy is tangible. Because the Hutton House is a venue that you can truly make your own, the couple has the opportunity to really shine through, making them the focal point in their photos.
